Edwardian Kitchen with German Table & Chairs

Details of each item

STOVE/COOKER: A shabby chic tin stove with two top cooking rings and two opening ovens below, possibly a German Fuchs stove, although not in perfect condition, like those in the other two kitchens. On top sit a vintage pan with brass handle, a vintage metal platter holding a bunch of carrots, a vintage metal stirring spoon and a modern white ceramic salt cellar. Note: the stove is resting on a piece of black foam board, to slightly raise its height.

TABLE AND TWO MATCHING CHAIRS: Slightly shabby, but nicely made wooden chairs and matching table, from the early 20th c, German-made, I believe. On the table sits a vintage pressed metal bread pan, holding modern bread, resting on a hand-made pot holder. A terracotta vase holds paper sunflowers, both modern. Dotted vintage cotton fabric has been used to make the two chair cushions, while chenille fabric makes a rug. A vintage metal dustpan and modern broom rest against one chair.

DRESSER: Hand-made in wood, stained a similar colour to the table and chairs. It holds a lot of special items: a lovely pressed metal tea set (top shelf), modern bowls and vintage plates (middle shelf), two vintage pressed tin plates, one vintage, metal square baking dish, vintage white bowl, and gorgeous vintage three light candlestick plus modern 'silver' cutlery rest on the bottom shelf. The open space at the base holds a vintage biscuit box. Both drawers of the dresser open and close.

WALLS: Covered in modern wrapping paper, which has been mounted on two pieces of 5mm thick, A3 foam board. Each piece of foam board measures 42 x 29.5cm or 11 5/8 x 16 3/8 in.
