Op Art Dining Room (SOLD)

Details of each item

DRESSER, TABLE AND CHAIRS: Highest quality hardwood furniture, circa 1960, from the American manufacturer, Hall's Lifetime Toys in Chattanooga, Tennessee, (sadly no longer in existence). These are solid pieces, in very good condition, with the thin tapered legs, so characteristic of mid-twentieth century furniture. The dresser has two shelves and double opening doors, perfect for displaying and storing everything a doll's dining room could want. On the dresser, a fabulous selection of vintage, gold-rimmed white china: serving platter, candelabra, tea set and four side plates, plus five white china pots, four plain white dinner plates and "silver" plastic cutlery. The height of the dresser is 21cm by 17cm long/ 8in by 6 ¾ in long.

OTHER CHAIRS: Stylish, wooden pair painted white, also made mid-century in America by Cape Cod Toymakers.

OP ART PAINTING: wall art created from a scrap of retro wallpaper, mounted on foam board.

RUG: Made from thick wool felt and edged with white cotton fringe.

WALLS: Covered in high-quality, modern sixties-patterned paper. It has been mounted on two pieces of 5mm thick, A3 foam board. Each piece of foam board measures 42x29.5cm or 11 5/8 x 16 3/8in.
