Peach & Cream Bedroom

Details of each item

BED: Beautiful quality four poster bed, circa 1950, from the American manufacturer, Hall's Lifetime Toys, once based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but sadly no longer in existence. The bed is made from hardwood and solidly constructed. It measures 10.75 in/26.5cm long x 10in/26cm high. Fragility note: Please take care with the bedposts of this bed. The lovely array of bedding comprises two fine linen sheets, two pillows, a soft cream blanket, and two reversible eiderdowns - one resembling a patchwork quilt. Note: all bedding is hand-made and hand-washable.

UNDERBED CHEST: For toys or shoes, a modern, wooden, hinged-top box.

CABINET: A softwood cabinet, painted off-white, which has one shelf inside - please see close-up photo of this piece. On top, a little wicker basket holds dolly's knitting yarn.

PICTURE: Vintage sepia photo of a little girl with a fish, mounted in a lovely antique frame.

TABLE: A metal table, painted white - perfect for holding a hand-made, turned wooden lamp with pleated paper lampshade, a knitted rag doll and a little ceramic bird.

WALLS: Covered in classical Italian wrapping paper, which has been mounted on two pieces of 5mm thick A3 foam board. Each piece of foam board measures 42x29.5cm or 11 5/8 x16 3/8in.
